How to End a Date That Is Struggling To Spark

Posted by admin on December 2, 2011 – 10:12 am

Unfortunately, many people have to wonder how to end a date that is struggling to spark. You may find yourself across the table from a person that you are just not hitting it off with. It may not be their fault or yours but it is something that is just not happening. You should not have to sit through a date that is just not going to work, it is a waste of time and it is something that you will regret. Here are a couple of ways to get out of a bad date.

Tell a White Lie

It is usually a good idea to have an out. If you are worried about hurting the person’s feelings, then you may want to have an out before you even go in. Let a friend or family member know that you are going on a date that could potentially be bad. Let them know that you may need them to call you so that you can leave. While this may not be the most honest gesture it is one that is sure to get you out of a bad date in a hurry.

Be Honest

Some people want to just be honest and let the other person know. If you don’t want to have to worry about avoiding their calls for the next week or two you are going to be a lot better off by being honest with them. Let them know that it is simply not working and that both of your time will be saved if you end the date then.
